Early Excellence - Key Stage 1/Foundation Stage Furniture

This early years furniture range includes six units that, used at right angles to a wall or placed in the centre of a room, are effective in dividing space into small distinct areas. The units can be used in the Early Years Foundation Stage and in Key Stage One to organise resources in a way that children can access them independently.

This unit is designed to display accessible resources and can be used in all provision areas .. sand, water, construction, mark making,etc.

This specialised unit can be used to create a book corner. It is designed to enable books of all sizes to be displayed front facing and has a storage space for Big Books built into the top.

This Role Play Furniture unit enables children to access independently a well organised range of dressing up clothes and associated items such as hats and scarves, etc.

The paint easel can be used to create a secure area for two children to paint side by side. It enables independent selection of paper and can be organised to offer either ready mix or powder paints.

The flat screen, with Velcro display board, has metal feet that enables it to stand alone. It can be used as a low level display, which when combined with our play table, creates an effective interactive area.

The play table provides a low, square surface ideal for children to sit around when reading books, listening to tapes and songs, making music or building models, etc.

Early Excellence units can be ordered with a range of options that enable them to be used exactly as you intend. The options include:

Option One... back to back
Choose this option if you want to place the unit back to back with another piece of furniture or place it up against a wall. The Shelving Unit (SU1), Paint Easel (PE1), Role Play Store (RP1) and Book Unit (BU1) all have this option.

Option Two... free standing
Choose this option if you want the shelving unit to stand alone, and be independently secure. The Shelving Unit (SU2), Paint Easel (PE2), Role Play Store (RP2) and Book Unit (BU2) can all be ordered in this format.
